Uncle Eddie's Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate-Chip Cookies

Have you seen these cookies before? You know, the ones in the brown bag. Sometimes they are in your cookie isle or sometimes they are in your frozen section. Or perhaps you've seen them at your favorite online Vegan store. They are very unassuming. If fact, you might think they are boring cookies.

Well, I'm here to set the record straight. Eddie's Peanut Butter Chocolate-Chip Cookies are the most deceivingly decadent cookies in the world.

Is it normal to eat the whole bag in the same day? Probably not. You see, I'm an addict. Once the first cookie hits my mouth, I know that the bag is gone. The peanut butter and chocolate chip mixture is too much. All of the ingredients melded into a crumbly chunky cookie. I'm sure these would be great with almond milk but with one hand on the bag and one hand on a cookie, that ain't happening.

But I think we are missing the bigger picture, who are you Uncle Eddie and what have you done to me?

  1. Rumor has it that Trader Joe's has a rebranded version of these in store, but I've only heard of them being in west coast stores.

  3. I love Uncle Eddie's!! I always thought they'd be boring too until someone brought a bag to a vegan potluck a few years back. And I was, all, holy crap. Good shit.

  4. These are my go-to cookie when I don't feel like baking! Soooooo yummy!

Trader Joe's has their own version, which are pretty tasty, but I prefer Uncle Eddie's!

  5. I love those. We used to buy them all of the time; not sure why we don't anymore. I do believe that every non-vegan who has ever tried them from us has loved them.

  6. The corner store near my house has these, and they're wonderful for people like me who can't decide between chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies.

  7. I may or may not have eaten an entire BAG of these in a day and a half before... (hint: I have). I REGRET NOTHING.

  8. Even my wife eats the living hell out of Uncle Eddie's cookies and she is a total omnivore. In a day though, no way. With her around the Uncle Eddie's we are lucky if the bag lasts 3 hours. I actually like the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip ones better than the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip.

Oh and John, right now the Hyvee on Cass has some cookies from Alternative Baking Company. For some reason in the health food section which is kind of ridiculous considering they are 460 calories per cookie. Vegan, yes. Healthy, no. Tasty as all get out!

  9. Try putting an Uncle Eddie's in the microwave for about 15 seconds. It's even better that way.

  10. I agree that upon looking at them they don't look very exciting but they had samples out at Boston Veg Fest so I tried them and they were really good!! Man oh man!

  11. I 100% agree that these are 100% crack! If I could mainline these toxically tantalizing treats, I would!

I was first introduced to these delicious devils in 2005 and, ever since, will consume an entire bag in a single sitting almost every time I buy them (...which leads me to believe I may have some slightly deeper issues...). #ihateyoudontleaveme
