Annie Chun's Garlic Scallion Noodle Bowl

A while back someone on the Laziest Vegans FB Page suggested I try an Annie Chun's product since many are Vegan. I've seen them in the store before but for whatever reason I never got one. I checked out all of the different Vegan options and decided on the Garlic and Scallion Noodle Bowl.

First of all I have to come out and say that this is the laziest meal EVER. You put some noodles (already soft) in a bowl, add a cup of water and put it in the microwave. Then when it's done you drain the noodles and pour the sauce packet on top. Easy/lazy dorm food.

Taste-wise I thought it was decent. It seem more like emergency food to me than an actually dinner. It definitely had a garlic/ soy sauce flavor going on. The noodles were nice and moist. You wouldn't want to eat it every day but I found it enjoyable. It's funny to not have to boil the noodles for once. Also, it isn't much to look at but that's to be expected. So if you are in a jam, keep one of these in your pantry and you'll have some excellent emergency Vegan food!

  1. I love bringing these along on camping trips! I just boil water on my camp stove and add to the noodle bowl and voila! Not sure if the Garlic-Scallion bowl needs water, but the Annie Chun's Miso Soup does, and it's perfect for living off the land or whatever.

  2. Those things were my savior when I was recovering from foot surgery a few weeks ago! The mushroom flavour is pretty good too.

  3. These are in my desk right now! They are a little easier than ramen because you don't have to do all that work finding a bowl.

  4. I've tried it once or twice and it's pretty good, for such a convenience food.

I would not consider it a treat in any way, but it's convenient!

  5. When I used to work nights, these were a savior. I'd grab one from Walgreens on the way home.
