Good Karma Organic Rice Divine Very Vanilla Bars

I'm still on my streak of frozen rice milk desserts and my next conquest is the Good Karma Organic Rice Bar, specifically the Very Vanilla flavor. As far back as I can remember, I've been addicted to what we call in these parts "Star Bars". That is, vanilla ice cream bars dipped in chocolate. So let's take it back to 1986 and grub down on some ice cream bars!

If we took the Pepsi Challenge and put the Good Karma Bars against traditional chocolate covered dairy bars, I'd bet the Good Karma ones would win. They taste surprisingly refreshing. The chocolate is rich and crispy and the ice cream vanilla-y. You might notice a slight rice taste but this jaded Vegan reviewer finds it delicious. So be on the look out for this yummy frozen treat!

Rice Dream Rice Nog

Christmas is almost here and I couldn't be any happier to get it over with. One positive part of this season has been the abundance of Vegan nogs. From So Delicious Coconut Nog to Earth Balance Organic Soy Nog and mainstays Silk and Westsoy. New to me this season is Rice Dream's Rice Nog.

At first sip, you definitely taste the spices. I want to say it's almost chai like. The consistency is very thin, similar to soy or rice milk. I thought it was good but I'm not sure if I would buy it again. I personally like thicker nogs and I'm not a fan of rice milk in general.

The positive thing in my eyes it that the Rice Nog adds more choices for those with those with allergies. So if you enjoy rice milk and or have a soy/coconut allergy, this is the nog for you. Thank goodness for variety!

Rice Dreams Bites

I was recently on vacation in Columbus, Ohio and stopped by a Kroger grocery store. I was excited about the amount of Vegan friendly convenience foods. While browsing the frozen section, I saw these Rice Dream Bites staring me down. Buying groceries on vacation usually doesn't work because you don't have a kitchen in your hotel room and you are lucky to even have a fridge. So in my head I figured I'd be able to polish off these Rice Dream Bites since they're in bite size form and won't melt as quickly as a normal pint.

So I took a chance and purchased them. My calculations were correct, they didn't melt on me and I didn't even need a spoon. They were so freakin' good! It's basically a chocolate covered ice cream bon bon. The hard chocolate shell with the yummy vanilla Rice Dream was heavenly. To tell the truth, I bought these twice, once I ate them all by myself and the second time I shared.
