It's that time of year again when your local Girl Scout asks if you want to buy some cookies. Until recently, Vegans were left with little to no options to pick from. But thanks to ABC Bakeries, there are FOUR varieties of Vegan Girl Scout Cookies, that's twice as many as last year! At this rate, they'll all be Vegan in no time. A word of caution, some Girl Scout Troops get their cookies from Little Brownie Bakers and these are not Vegan, sorry! It will say on the order form if the cookies are Vegan. If you want a closer look at the Thin Mints and Thanks-A-Lots, check out my 2013 post. Now, let's take a look at the newbies, Peanut Butter Patties and Lemonades!
Peanut butter and chocolate? Count me in! You really can't go wrong with Peanut Butter Patties. I got a couple boxes anticipating that these would be my favorites, but strangely enough....
The Lemonades are my favorite! I thought these would be the lame duck out of the bunch, but no, they're the best! The best part is the lemon icing on the bottom of the cookie. I also love that it's an oversized cookie. They just seem fun to me. Lemony goodness!
So good luck finding Vegan Girl Scout Cookies! If you can't, here's a reminder to complain to Little Brownie Bakery HERE.

Earth Balance P.B. Popps
I love it when a product just appears on the shelf with very little fanfare or anticipation. Such was the case about a month ago, when a trusty Whole Foods employee pointed out these new P.B. Popps from Earth Balance. Now, I have been hearing rumblings of their new cheddar popcorn, but not a peep about these P.B.Popps. So of course I had to give 'em a whirl.
My first reaction is that this is a more peanut buttery version of Cracker Jacks. Popcorn, peanuts and oats round out the main ingredients. I'm a sucker for peanut butter, so it wasn't hard to win me over. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that the peanuts settle at the bottom of the bag and you are left with a bag full of peanuts and nothing else. So I suggest you shake the bag a bit or pour it in a bowl. Or just enjoy the peanuts at the end! Congrats to Earth Balance for creating a new snack I didn't know I needed.

Rescue Chocolate Peanut Butter Pit Bull & Foster-iffic Peppermint Chocolate Bars
There is nothing better than eating something you enjoy and being able to help a cause. Well, every time you purchase a Rescue Chocolate chocolate bar, 100% of the net proceeds go to animal rescue groups. As someone who went Vegan for my cat, I really appreciate businesses that support animal groups. And as if that wasn't enough, the candy bars are slammin'!
This bar literally melted in my mouth. It was really soft with just a hint of crunch. A peanut butter center with chocolate on the outside. My only complaint is that it's so good that I need more than one! A pb lover's dream.
A yummy dark chocolate bar with peppermint notes. I would have liked a bit more peppermint flavor but it's a minor quibble. I like that you can break this bar into squares very easily. Although you're just going to eat the bar all by yourself, right? So, next time you are jonesing for chocolate and or candy bars, check out Rescue Chocolate!

Sweet & Sara Peanut Butter Smore
Welcome to Vegan MoFo VI! I can't believe this is my third MoFo. For those who aren't familiar with my blog, I review Vegan convenience foods. It's not rocket science, but it's stuff I eat anyway and I enjoy doing it. So with that said, I'm going to review one of my all time favorite treats, the Sweet & Sara Peanut Butter Smore!
As a lot of you know, I'm a Sweet & Sara Smore freak. I seriously eat two of these a week, minimum. I convinced Whole Foods Omaha to carry them, thank god. Eating a PB Smore is euphoric to me. Is it health food? Hell no. But that's what the gym is for. Everyone deserves a vice.
Peanut buttery, marshmallowy, chocolaty, graham crackery goodness. The first bite is always the best. As I get closer to the end of the smore, I get a little sad inside. Did I eat enough smore? Probably not. Should I eat another one? That's always the struggle.
I don't have a rating or anything on my blog, but I would give this the highest rating possible. Like 20 marshmallow thumbs up. And then some.

Whole Foods 365 Organic Peanut Butter Balls Cereal
On my last trip to Whole Foods, I noticed some of their 365 brand cereals were labeled Vegan right on the front of the box. That really makes my job easy so I decided to grab the most appealing cereal (to me anyway). I lobbed the Peanut Butter Balls box right into my cart.
I guess you could describe them as peanut butter Kix. I thought they were great! A nice peanut buttery taste and not too sweet. It says on the box that they are organic and made with real peanut butter, which is a nice touch. Compared to the other pb cereals out there, I'd say Peanut Butter Balls holds its own. It doesn't really bring anything mind blowing to the table, but being the 365 brand, it's fairly cheap. So if you are a peanut butter connoisseur, a lover of organic and natural ingredients and a cost conscious shopper, this is the cereal for you!
